Faculty Exchange Program

The Faculty Exchange Program is intended to enable junior faculty from the University of Wisconsin-Madison to spend a semester or an academic year at Hebrew University, and for junior faculty from the Hebrew University to spend an academic year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The goal of the program is to enable the faculty to advance their careers and broaden their intellectual horizons. Senior faculty participation is limited to one semester.

The Faculty Exchange Program is not annual. Please follow the publications on our website to find out the date of the next faculty exchange. We do not receive applications for the academic year 2012-2013.

Information for Faculty from the Hebrew University

The Exchange Program will cover the full costs of a semester or an academic year at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, including:

Priority is given to Junior faculty and/or faculty in the Department of History, but all faculty members are eligible to apply.

Post-doctorate Fellowships: PhD students who shall complete their dissertation at the Hebrew University by August 1st, 2011, are also eligible to apply to the faculty exchange program, and shall be required to teach a course at the UW-Madison.

Responsibilities

Exchange faculty will teach one seminar per semester and be available to students and faculty for consultation.
